🔥 Can I install Sikwood on my fireplace surround?Updated 9 months ago
Yes, Stikwood is a great material to use on fireplace surrounds and mantles. Stikwood is real wood, so you don't want it exposed to open flame or extreme heat, but most fireplace surrounds are perfectly safe. If you can hold your hand on the surface comfortably when the fire is going it will work with Stikwood most likely.
If you have a gas insert, check the fireplace documentation to confirm that wood can be in close proximity to the insert.
Class A Fire Rating Available:
If you would be more comfortable with a higher fire rating on the wood, we do offer a flame spread product that we can add at the factory for an added $1 per square ft. The flame spread brings the wood up to a class A fire rating for use in commercial spaces.
