Stikwood can be applied to plaster walls that are painted, dry, free of dust and as smooth as a normal textured drywall wall (think normal house wall). If your texture is extreme, you will have to sand the bumps down and repaint. We can verify compatibility with specific wall surfaces if you provide a photo to our customer response team.
